Dr Fixit (Africa's Longest Poem) Volume Five

Image
In this volume, the soldier ant, Dr Fixit, is hard at work as he keeps elongating his movie script where he, as the protagonist, is engrossed with his wife, Tracit, in reading the book written by the sage, Pa Tortoise. He hopes to grab nuggets of wisdom that could help him consolidate his gains as a massive and positive world-changer.  (THIS VOLUME IS AVAILABLE HERE AS AN EBOOK, PAPERBACK AND HARDCOVER.)

DR FIXIT (AFRICA'S LONGEST POEM) VOLUME FOUR

Image
The soldier ant keeps penning his movie script which has the potential of becoming a box-office hit after returning to the United States with his partner, the American female journalist, Lib Freegate, to witness her wedding to her childhood chum, Jim. During the event, the couple who have started working on the script to make a film out of it, actually show a clip (with permission of the scriptwriter) to their excited guests who can’t help but demand more. In the script proper, the main character, Dr Fixit, commander of the new-breed soldier ants on a world mission to purge humans and then insects and animals of their evil ways, is getting entangled in a secret romance with his second-in-command, Tracit. The rest of the troops, almost five million in number, seem to be getting whiff of it. It looks like the entire camp might soon explode. Is Commander Mendit One, the head of the information unit, and his team of conservatives’ threat to constituted authority (call it an attempted...

DR FIXIT (AFRICA'S LONGEST POEM) VOLUME THREE

Image
The arrival of Lib Freegate’s fiancĂ©, Jim, upsets Dr Fixit, the soldier ant and Lib’s secret friend and business partner, and disrupts his conveniently penning more scenes of his film script and this nearly mars their relationships (between Lib and Dr Fixit; and between Lib and Jim). Dr Fixit gives a condition for him to stay and the female journalist, Lib, meets it by confronting Jim with the truth. Later, his behind-the-back mockery of his fiancĂ©e’s worship of a pet of a soldier ant triggers off a reaction (as the soldier ant replies to Jim in fluent English) which seems like an event in a storybook. Jim wonders if the talking soldier ant is a science-created bug. (THIS VOLUME IS AVAILABLE HERE AS AN EBOOK, PAPERBACK AND HARDCOVER.)

DR FIXIT (AFRICA'S LONGEST POEM) VOLUME TWO

Image
Dr Fixit, back in his native continent, keeps writing his film script. In SCENE SIX, the troops break a core rule; in SEVEN, a commander reports two troops for smooching; in EIGHT, Dr Fixit preaches against romance in the camp but in NINE, his female second in command’s movements distract him and a stiff struggle ensues as he tries to banish the image from his mind. But the still small voice steals in to engage him in the theme of ‘love’ and he also points out the futility of Dr Fixit’s mission to save the world. The emotional and mental battle continues till SCENE THIRTEEN where the voice, quite jealous, transforms into a praying mantis and there is a violent physical fight between it and the soldier ant. (THIS VOLUME IS AVAILABLE HERE AS AN EBOOK, PAPERBACK AND HARDCOVER.)
