COLOURS (OF LIFE, LOVE AND FAITH) {POETRY COLLECTION}

FOREWORD: The lucid poems in this collection (130 in all) were carefully selected to give readers a rewarding experience as they go through them. The works touch diverse aspects of life and exhibit serious as well as humorous tones where a lizard gives advice, a chameleon shows it is as important as a lion and a motivational illustration is drawn from the way the tortoise is built.

The poems, spanning over three decades, had been published in newspapers, appeared in anthologies, read on radio and posted on several websites. Look out too for the videos of recitals and readings.

The collection has three sections: ‘BOOK ONE: COLOURS OF LIFE’; ‘BOOK TWO: COLOURS OF LOVE’; and ‘BOOK THREE: COLOURS OF FAITH’. Each section, as its name implies, has verses that relate to its tagged theme. It also features two fairly long rhyming narrative poems, 'TALE FROM LAGOS' and 'A LONG LOVE SONG'.

(The collection, as ebook or paperback, is available here and some poems or excerpts could be viewed on this blog.)
